here the article I wrote with Kai Vöckler about our work with Archis Interventions in Prishtina. The article came out in Arch+ „Legislating Architecture”, an issue about regulations on architecture und regulations by architecture. We have addressed the second point and described how the informal buildings in Prishina have lead to new regulations through the legalization process we have initiated, design and organized with Archis Interventions.

The urban proposal „Prishtina Dynamic City” is a vision for the future of the inner city of Prishtina. For this project we have collaborated with Archis Interventions Prishtina and Archis Interventions SEE. We proposed a strategic urban transformation with economic and social impacts to the city of Prishtina. The exhibition will be opened at the 10th of November 2013 at 18:00 and run till the 30th of November 2013.

The exhibition in the Swiss Architectural Museum (SAM) will show the research results about the Bata Cities. Bata has built more then 80 modernist cities throughout the world, following a sophisticated urban and social system. Finalist / European Prize for Urban Public Space

Our project "Magic Blocks" has been chosen as finalist for the seventh  European Prize for Urban Public Space. The prize is given as part of a biennial competition organized by six European institutions with the aim to recognize and encourage the recovery projects and defense of public space in our cities.
Magic Blocks is a participative program of initiatives aimed at fostering reflection and activities with a view to transforming dull fragmentary interstitial spaces between socialist housing blocks in the city centre.

Magic Blocks is a collaboration of Point 4, Zeppelin, Archis Interventions, Hackenbroich Architekten, StudioBASAR, developed by Institutul Cultural Roman - Programul Cantemir, ERSTE Stiftung

For the Arch+ issue about large scale hosting of the 70ties Regina Bittner, Wilfried Hackenbroich and Stefan Rettich contributed an article about the housing system in Singapore. While the European social housing system has cause severe social and urban problems, the housings system in Singapore has been constantly improved and developed. Today it has become a role model for (social) housing. The article is based on the results of the urban research program “Bauhaus Kolleg X - Cities of Tomorrow / CIAM Urbanism”. The program has been conceived and conducted by Regina Bittner, Wilfried Hackenbroich and Stefan Rettich at the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation.

The exhibition “MAGIC BLOCKS”  in the Centre for Visual Introspection in Bucharest shows the interventions and planning strategies for the post socialist housing blocks in Bucharest.The exhibition is based on the continuation of the Magic Block project from 2009 and includes solutions for the urban and social problems as well as the temporary interventions in the public spaces between the housing blocks at Calea Mosilor in Bucharest. The project was a collaboration of Archis Interventions, Zeppelin, Point 4 and Hackenbroich Architekten.
